Do you have experience offering households who are homeless or at risk of homelessness advice on housing options? Have you worked previously, providing a first point of contact for residents with housing related problems? I’m excited to be able to recruit for this brand-new position working within the outreach team within a local authority! Being a new role, this position allows for flexibility and will be at the forefront of homeless prevention within the borough.

Main Duties:

  • Acting as the first point of contact to those phoning into the housing service.

  • Offering a reactive service to residents contacting the service for the first time or needing one off advice or assistance.

  • Offer a proactive service to residents identified as being at risk of homelessness by the Early Intervention Team.

    • The Outreach Team is flexibility located with hubs all across the borough meaning services will be provided from various locations, and these can change over time.
