Are you a skilled, knowledgeable NVQ level three senior support worker looking for a career change?
We are recruiting for up to three individuals to join a developing team within a residential care home in Sheffield.
This newly developed OFSTED regulated service cares and supports up to four children with EBD and learning disabilities.
This home is part of a larger collection of homes within Yorkshire, covering areas such as Rotherham and Sheffield. This organisation provides specialist residential care for children and young people.
Main duties include:
The ideal candidate will assist with the day to day care and support for the children within the residential homes.
Working to create positive relationships with the children, ensuring safeguarding needs are met in regards to OFSTED regulations.
Medication distribution (when required)
Creating a positive environment for the children to thrive.
Supporting the children within the home and in the community
Organising and partaking in activities with the children.
Helping with the day to day support of the children – regarding mealtimes, bedtimes and ensuring all support meets OFSTED and company standards.
Observe and supervise support workers within the residential home
Lead shifts
Managing and updating paperwork and supervisions
Pay and Hours:
Full-time, 40 hours per week
Working a 1 day on, 2 day off schedule (10 days a month working with 20 days off)
£22,000-£25,000, (depending on experience)
£45 per sleep
Opportunity to gain an extra £5,000 a year from sleep-ins.
Requirements:
Support worker experience
Driving licence
NVQ Level 3 in children and young people (essential)
