An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housing Solutions Support Officer to work in Havering within the Housing sector. The postholder will support homeless prevention and relief officer to deliver effective housing solutions and homelessness services for clients with a variety of housing and social needs. This will be predominately towards clients presenting as homeless under the provisions of the Homeless Reduction Act 2017 and related legislation.
To provide effective and efficient administration and reception support to the Housing Solutions Service and to provide help and assistance to personal callers to the Service.
To understand the challenges and complexities around homelessness today, the impact that homelessness has on families and single people, and have a commitment to addressing housing issues and reducing homelessness.
To support the housing solutions officers to promote the prevention of homelessness and maximise access to available housing options in the borough.
The role will involve the following on a regular basis:
- Face to face contact with the public.
- Arranging meetings as required.
- Assisting with monitoring team plans.
- Assisting the team leader with monitoring to ensure compliance with team targets and standards.
