Riverside are looking to recruit Relief Workers in High Wycombe to provide support on a casual basis covering sickness and holidays.

Our Buckinghamshire projects include Bearbrook Place in Aylesbury (HP19 8RN) and Old Tea Warehouse in High Wycombe (HP13 6NQ). Both schemes are staffed 24/7 and supported by a pool of Relief Workers who provide cover for annual leave, illness or other staffing cover. Hours are usually available in an early shift / late shift / night shift format but can be negotiated on a shift by shift basis.

Bearbrook Place provides supported accommodation to customers aged 16+ with low to medium support needs which might include things like mental health, recovery from substance abuse or leaving care.

Old Tea Warehouse provides supported accommodation to customers aged 18+ with medium to high support needs which might include things like mental health, drug or alcohol addiction.

The Relief Worker role gives the flexibility to choose which shifts you want to work at which location suits you best, this might suit someone who wants a second job or to fit in around childcare or higher education. We are open to hearing from students looking for seasonal work in the holidays or to fit in around University.

We are currently looking to expand our Relief Worker pool in time for Christmas and New Year so we can continue to deliver a great customer experience throughout the holidays.

Could you support people with compassion and empathy?

Riverside are a national housing, care and support provider, we need enthusiastic, dedicated, caring people to become part of our team.

You will help customers with complex support needs as well as homelessness backgrounds. As a Relief Worker your duties will include working on reception as the first point of contact for customers, general cleaning duties and health and safety checks, to keep our services vibrant and safe.

The successful candidate will preferably have experience of working in a homeless or support setting with veterans. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to use your initiative and remain resilient, reliable and motivated at all times. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is looking for a new challenge, additional hours or a foot into a housing or support role.

Please note: Riverside are putting in measures to protect candidates and our colleagues from Covid-19. Whilst we are still continuing to recruit for this position and other roles in the organisation we will be implementing virtual interviews.
