Opus People Solutions are recruiting on behalf of North Northamptonshire Council for a Rough Sleeper Support Worker to join an amazing team of 8 and to supporting homeless service users across Northampton.
Within this role you will be responsible for supporting the homeless across Northampton and support them throughout their journey into suitable accommodation.
This will include Actively engaging and motivating with rough sleepers requiring housing and related support, taking a creative, strengths-based, and person-centred approach to building, and developing professional relationships
The successful candidate will need to be able to problem solve, work under pressure, and use your initiative, managing and prioritising your workload. At times you may be required to support other officers and their caseloads.
The concept of team working, and the needs of the customer base means that a high level of flexibility to work areas is required from the candidate. Please note that some working outside of core office hours, including some unsociable hours will be required. (Between Monday – Thursday 11PM-2AM one day a week)
- Full induction and training will be given along side working with a supportive team.
- Full UK driving license and access to own transport required
- One day a week outreach session, attending community events
- This post is subject to a DBS check
- Temporary role with potentially opportunity to develop into perm
