Client:
Concept IT are looking for Junior IT Technician to work for a busy company based in Kings Lynn. My client provides services to customers all over the world, including household names and due to a sustained period of growth are looking to expand their IT team.
Role:
Provide onsite and remote IT technical support, over the phone or on email. Ensuring the user receive the highest level of support, working closely with the technical teams to investigate, troubleshoot and support IT infrastructure, hardware, and software across the company locations.
Key Responsibilities
Provide 1st level PC systems and applications support to onsite and remote users
Maintain and support the office endpoint community and networking systems
Accurately update IT record keeping such as helpdesk support tickets, systems checklists and user status reports
Ensure that all IT assets are registered and running the latest operating system patch levels and that mandatory applications are installed and working
Maintain office communications and redundant systems
Support and work with the general user community to ensure that they are gaining value from technology and are not blocked by it
Occasionally travel to other locations to provide onsite desktop and systems support
Technical Requirements
The following technical competencies are desirable but not essential:
Excellent communication skills and an ability to patiently explain technical concepts to non-technical users
Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised
Ownership of issues from reporting to resolution
A real enthusiasm for all types, aspects and uses of technology
Experience of desktop and mobile systems; hardware and operating systems
Good understanding of Microsoft Office applications, exposure to Office/365 and cloud computing is a distinct benefit
Good experience of local area networking, cabling systems and management methodologies
Great attention to detail and maintaining focus on repetitive but critical tasks
Eager to learn new skills and make a tangible difference in a busy IT Department
