The CRM Programme Director will have strong leadership of similar cross-organisation implementation programmes and will be able unlock the potential of a critical project at a key time for Save the Children UK.

    Job Purpose

    As the CRM Programme Director, you will lead and manage the CRM programme team in delivering our Salesforce platform, working with technology and business stakeholders delivering an enterprise technology solution and the organisational change the technology supports.

    Main Accountabilities

    Reporting directly to the Executive Director of Fundraising & Marketing, you will focus on developing and managing the stakeholder relationships required to ensure success, providing leadership for change and maintaining coherence and integrity of the programme.

    As Programme Director, you will:

  • Effectively oversee scope, estimation of budget, resource requirements and timescales
  • Deliver assigned projects to an agreed timetable
  • Effectively manage project budgets and resources
  • Produce required project management artefacts to support the delivery and assurance of projects
  • Effectively manage risk and resolution of project issues
  • Effectively communicate through appropriate channels to stakeholders driving or impacted by change
  • Effectively manage external suppliers
  • Promptly and accurately report to relevant governance structures, including any project or programme boards or portfolio reporting
  • Oversee quality assurance activities
  • Organise any communication or training activities that are necessary to the ensure that the project benefits are maximised
  • Effectively manage transition into live service
  • Liaise with Save the Children International to ensure alignment with CRM implementation across the wider movement

    Essential technical and professional skills

    With a qualification (or good knowledge) of Agile and Scrum methodologies as well as programme and project management, you should have:

  • Knowledge of Software as a Service based CRM or transactional applications, using Salesforce
  • Proven experience of managing programmes with a significant change element; over £1M
  • Proven experience in implementing a major technology change programme
  • Management experience of teams in a matrix environment
  • Experience of operating at a senior level e.g. reporting to Programme or Executive Boards
  • Experience with implementing CRM systems
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of managing multi-partner and vendor projects
  • Significant experience in the sector or relevant business

  • Extensive track record of successfully managing large and complex project and programmes that include systems, processes and operating model changes
  • An established leader with personal gravitas and ability to work with senior executives
  • A proven team player. Someone who is open and who is able and willing to deliver beyond his or her personal brief
  • Highly detailed organisational awareness an ability to understand sensitivities within a complex multi-stakeholder structure
  • Strong leadership skills along with the ability to motivate and mobilise individuals outside your reporting line
  • Ability to network with, and influence, senior people both internally and externally in order to achieve a pre-defined outcome
  • A strategic thinker who is able prioritise and balance a busy workload
