Randstad are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Team Manager to join Bolton’s Council Looked After Children team. This is a full time role and the post-holder can expect an amazing pay rate of £40 per hour.

Responsibilities:
This is a busy and dynamic team offering a statutory service to Looked After Children, Care Leavers and Homeless Young People; some of whom will have very complex needs.
Work with Young People from the age of 16 potentially up to 25 helping them to develop their Pathway into independence.
To assist the Team Manager, Leaving Care in managing the performance and day to day duties of Leaving Care work, including monitoring of homelessness and duty referrals and allocation of work.
To contribute to the development, monitoring, and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of Leaving Care services.
To assist the Team Manager in ensuring that the work of the team is allocated and to contribute towards the overall management, including financial management, of the team’s workload, through on-going review of casework and duty demands.
To enable staff and support staff in reaching decisions.
Candidate must provide evidence/experience of following in order to support the Team Manager with performance and development of the LCT.
Good knowledge of children’s services legislation.
Audit files and case allocation , including duty referrals.
Finance and budget monitoring.
To assist in the management of effective social work interventions.
To contribute to the procedures of the disciplinary process.
To chair and facilitate meetings and participate in decision making forums.
To support and supervise students in placement.
Customer Care.
Promoting equality and diversity.
Requirements:
Social Work England registered
Enhanced DBS
Social Work Degree
Proven management experience
Min 5 years post qualification experience
