We are looking for a Senior housing supply officer to work with a local council.

  • To provide support to the team manager with assessing the applications on the housing register, allocating accommodation, allocating temporary accommodation and private rented accommodation to prevent homelessness and discharge the homeless duty and making placements into temporary accommodation

  • Support and supervise the provision of a lawful and efficient allocations process for permanent temporary and PRS prevent and discharge accommodation.

  • Provide customers in housing need a full range of advise and interventions on their housing options in Private and public sector with the aim of ensuring a comprehensive service to prevent homelessness making full use of any available schemes and initiatives.

  • Supervise the process for and complete direct matching processes for those with medical needs (including delayed discharge of care cases), under occupiers, management transfers and sheltered applicants.

  • Verify the application of final shortlisted applicants for permanent properties.

  • Contribute to the effective management of the whole housing supply team.

  • This is a specialist role that will be at the forefront of the services delivered to meet the objectives in the homelessness Act , particularly around the allocation of prevention and PRSO’s properties.

    • Previous experience within housing is essential.

    This role will be a full office presence working Monday to Friday covering 36 hours per week paying £23.00 per hour PAYE. Based locally within Ilford area.
