Peabody are looking for two full time, permanent Housing Support Workers to work in our Braintree Interim Accommodation for single people and families, who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.

You will ideally have a good knowledge of housing and welfare benefits, risk assessments and support planning processes, safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children, able to promote independent living skills, advice and guidance around tenancy management, employment, education and training. 

Good communication skills and computer skills are vital, as is the ability to keep accurate records, work as part of a team and manage a caseload.

Please note there is no personal care required for this role . This a fast pace support role which will include (but not limited to) voids (void flushes, Health & Safety, checking alarms), property inspections, organising liaison meetings, management of rent accounts and liaising with councils.

You will work as part of a rolling rota covering the hours of 8am – 7pm Monday to Friday including Bank Holidays. You may be required to work across various sites, so you will require a flexible approach to working.

There are also opportunities to work in other schemes and so increase your earnings.
