A fantastic opportunity has emerged for a Private Rented Sector Officer to join one of Adecco’s key public sector clients in a temporary role for the next 6 months.

Based in Maidenhead but with a requirement to travel around other boroughs surrounding West London, this is a full time role (37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday). You will ideally have experience in local authority housing and preferably in a similar role where you have assisted customers in seeking and securing privately rented accommodation.

Other key elements of the role include:

  • Looking for available privately rented properties on websites and through contacts with lettings agents.
  • Keeping a spreadsheet of available properties
  • Finding out from customers what their needs are in terms of housing and matching them to available properties or seeking properties to suit them
  • Accompanying customers on property viewings
  • Negotiating leases with landlords and collating the relevant documents
  • Arranging for payments of rent in advance and deposits, where support is being provided
  • This post may be working with homeless households who are currently in temporary accommodation, households who are at risk of losing their accommodation and Ukrainian households who are seeking to move on from their Homes for Ukraine accommodation.
  • Long term, after six months of working as a temporary member of staff this role has the strong possibility of going permanent. The successful candidate will not need to come into the Maidenhead office everyday, but will need to be prepared to travel regularly across different boroughs as they will need to attend property inspections etc as well as meeting with customers and other members of staff.
