We are seeking highly motivated individuals to provide waking night support, to our accommodation services, located in various London boroughs. The services provide accommodation and support for people who have multi-disadvantages, mental health, multiple physical health needs, poly-substance use or have experienced homelessness.

Single Homeless Project is a London-wide charity. Our vision is of a society where everyone has a place to call home and the chance to live a fulfilling life. We help single Londoners by preventing homelessness, providing support and accommodation, promoting wellbeing, enhancing opportunity, and being a voice for change. 

In this role, you will be the first point of contact to our residents and be responsible for safeguarding and dealing with emergencies. Other responsibilities include carrying out regular health and safety checks, patrolling the building, engaging with residents and various administration tasks. There is also an element of the role which will involve ensuring the environment is kept to a high standard and raising any maintenance issues in a timely and effective manner.

To be successful, you will have good communication skills along with a good understanding of the issues that affect vulnerable people. You will also have good level of IT, numeracy and literacy skills and the ability to use your own initiative. Self-direction is particularly important in these roles, as you will be responsible, along with other night-time colleagues, for delivering the service at night-time without the physical presence of managers. 

In return, you will receive a full induction and guidance. Additional training opportunities may also be offered, to further enhance your learning and ability to support clients with complex needs.
