Annual wage – £9,360.00

Base rate of £6 at 30 hours guaranteed a week. Will be opportunities for more hours, up to a maximum of 40 a week.

Working week – Work week consists of Monday to Saturday, with one day off during the week, and Sundays off. Shifts will be between 8am and 6pm.

Total hours per week: 30.0

What will the apprentice be doing?

As a Hospitality Team Member, you will pick up all the essential skills required to work in any professional Hospitality business, from hotels to restaurants. Your daily responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Serving customers food prepared by the kitchen staff and drinks.
  • Preparing beverages such as hot coffee.
  • Relaying information through the team, including orders to kitchen staff.
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment, this includes things such as sweeping, wiping down surfaces and cleaning when customers leave.
  • Handling customer issues and complaints in a professional and timely manner. 
  • Maintaining a professional image and role model appearance consistently, you will be the first point of contact for all customers.
  • Assisting with stock management and rotation. 
  • Taking reservations for customers.
  • Assisting with administrative duties and paperwork where necessary. 
  • While the majority of your tasks will be carried out and focused around serving customers and front of house work, you will occassionally be required to carry out other tasks, such as assisting with deliveries. 

    What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

  • Utilising a range of teaching and coaching methods, our trainers will deliver masterclasses, webinars and support you on an individual basis throughout your learning journey.
  • Alongside your core programme of hospitality knowledge. customer service and first line management, you will also select a specialist route based around your specific business.
  • Across eleven specialist functions, we will tailor the programme to your specific business needs, to deliver a personalised experience that will support you to become a true expert in your role.
  • This opportunity will result in you working towards a level 2 Hospitality Team Member qualification, alongside your functional skills (Maths and English) if required. 
  • What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

    Potential for permanent contracts and progression to higher level chefs once candidates complete their course.

    Things to consider

    MUST BE WILLING TO WORK WITH ALL TYPES OF FOOD: Fish, Meat, Vegetables and Dairy products are all served regularly, you must be comfortable learning to handle and prepare all these types of food.
