Import Ocean Operator –
If you are looking for a career change my client is willing to train as long as you have 5 years office experience – with a keen interest in logistics.
The role will be working within the Ocean Import department where they deal with both FCL and LCL container freight shipments to Deep sea markets.
Duties will include:
Opening job file
Put Import bookings on the system
Contacting shipping lines to book containers for the customer.
Liaising with customers and hauliers to organise Import collections from customers premises to relevant ports.
Liaison with overseas office and agents.
Producing Import documentation
Charge out files
Keep customers informed of any problems that may arise.
Any other duties required by management.
the Successful candidate needs to confident, as this is a busy office, must have a can-do attitude.
Dealing with Ocean destinations.
Min of 2 years in Freight Forwarding Ocean Freight Preferred.
We need someone who is hands on for this very busy office.
Ocean Import Clerk x 1
Now looking for just one person, but specifically Ocean Import only.
Salary: GBP25 – GBP30k.
Hours: 9-5.30pm
5 years office based experience, is competent with Microsoft and using computer based systems. However could have been in a different field and is now looking to change their direction and has a real interest in the logistics industry.
