Job Description

Resettlement Worker, to work in the Camden area. The service is a 28 day low support temporary accommodation, providing housing-related support to those who have been rough sleeping.

The successful candidate will be required to work 37.5 hours per week, working Monday – Friday, 10AM – 6PM. Cover is required for approximately 5 months with the possibility of extension.

In this position, you will be expected to;
– Respond to and manage all referrals into the accommodation
– Work closely with managers to organise move on.
– Liaise, and negotiate with internal and external specialists and agencies in order to maximise client support services, resources and funding.
– Serve as the main point of contact for move on and referrals.
– Complete comprehensive and high-quality risk assessments and risk management plans
– Work with service users to maximise their income and offer practical support around independent living skills such as; paying rent, setting up and managing utilities, liaising with landlords and other agencies.
– Complete comprehensive and on-going needs assessment with clients, agreeing goals with each client which are achievable, time measured and support the individual in rebuilding their life away from the street.
– Support service users to develop life skills and partake in occupation activities to promote independence and involvement with the community

To apply for this role, you must have;
– Experience of working with rough sleepers and homeless clients.
– Experience of managing complex and/or difficult situations in relation to vulnerable adults.
– The ability to effectively liaise with a range of service providers or agencies in order to establish or improve services for clients.
– Experience of providing housing related support to vulnerable clients
– Experience of working within a strengths and recovery based model in order to proactively engage and motivate clients to move towards an appropriate level of independence and inclusion.
