Main duties of the job
You will work with patients with mild to moderate depression and anxiety. We need people with energy and enthusiasm, who are flexible in their approach and can work well as part of a large, busy team in a high-volume service and demanding environment, whilst studying for their PWP qualifications.
PWP Trainees will work within the italk service forSolent Mind providing Step 2 low intensity Cognitive Behavioural (CBT)interventions in the form of 11 telephone appointments, face to face,webinars, group and online support for people with mild to moderate anxiety anddepression. You would combine psychologicalpractice with the very latest in low intensity CBT innovation, helping peoplemove forward using structured, brief interventions. You will receiveemployment and a full salary, as well as one year of high qualityevidence-based training at the Universityof Reading.
In addition tothe requirements in the Person Specification, candidates will have to satisfythe University that they are capable of completing the academic component ofthe training, alongside working within the service.
On successfulcompletion of the programme you will move into a Qualified PWP role and to apermanent QPWP contract.
You will be basedin one of 3 hubs across Hampshire: West(Eastleigh); East (Gosport); North (Basingstoke).
