Veritas Education are seeking Teaching Assistants for immediate positions. These positions are varied and open to all: –

  1. Experienced Teaching Assistant (TA) – seeking a new challenge or promotion

Teaching Assistant responsibilities will involve:

  • Supporting the class teacher in effectively delivering lessons
  • Creating a positive, engaging and safe working environment for all pupils
  • Supporting students within the classroom, to ensure that the work is accessible for all (including pupils with additional needs)
  • May be required to lead small group activities (reading, numeracy and literacy)
  • Using your initiative throughout the day for continuous problem-solving scenarios
  • Must be flexible and diverse within the role, due to working with a multitude of pupils that will all need differing approaches to keep them engage and continually learning

Teaching Assistant requirements:

  • Have a passion for working with young people and providing them with the most positive educational experience possible
  • Some level of experience working with young people, this could be within your previous career, during your studies or within your personal life
  • Be empathetic and understanding towards pupils, staff members and parents/carers
  • Eager and willing to learn new skills and attend variety of courses within the role to further your knowledge and understanding

Must have:

  • Up to date CV with a clear history of your previous work history
  • Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Online Update Service (or be prepared to obtain one for a fee).
  • Overseas police check if required
  • Be able to provide 2 references covering the last 5 years
  • Legal right to work and be able to provide proof of this
  • Be able to attend either video or face-to-face interview

All pay rates that are offered will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. Our working opportunities include temporary positions, permanent contracts and adhoc supply.
