Whetstone Lane Medical Centre in Birkenhead are looking for a salaried GP to join the team to deliver between 4 and 6 sessions per week.

The practice is situated on the Wirral Peninsula with good local schools nearby and within easy reach of Chester, Liverpool and Manchester.
Main duties of the job
You will primarily be involved indelivering highly effective medical care to the local population. This willinvolve working a share of the duty cover as well as routine sessions, telephone triages and e-consults. Home visits will berequired when clinically necessary.
About us
The successful candidate with have 15-minute appointments with flexible start and finish times, and a share of duty cover. You’ll also have an opportunity to ‘work from home’ one session per week.
We have around 8500 patients and have a typical inner-citydemographic. The practice is made up of 4 x GP partners, a salaried GP, 3 ANP’s, 3 Practice Nurses and a nurse associate. The team is supported by a fantastic reception, administrative and information management team.
We have medical students from Liverpool University and qualified F1 / F2 doctors at the practice. We’re also a training practice and have GPST1’s spend time at the practice as part of their training.
We alsohave access to PCN pharmacists, Wellbeing Practitioners, Health Coaches andFirst Contact Physios.
We offer additional services including minor surgery,homeless clinics and contraceptive services (coil fittings / removals andimplants).
