Family Support worker- Housing Services
Location: Nuneaton- Out in the community
Shift patterns- 37.5 hours- Monday- Friday (9am-5pm) Flexibility needed as shift patterns can change due to service user needs
Salary – 22,197- Full time
Driver not essential but preferred

Overview of the role
This client is looking for a full time Family Support Worker based in the Nuneaton area. Will be working with families and individuals supporting them by carrying out assessments of their needs, helping with budgeting and guidance on managing their home, providing general emotional support to promote their independence, and supporting with parental advice.

Roles and Responsibilities:
” Working with a group of Families and a small group of Individuals to support them with parental advice and life skills- Housing benefits, Tenancy support.
” Responding appropriately to chaotic and challenging to behaviour to promote the well being of people in the service and staff to undertake training E.g through attendance at formal courses.
” Participate in the team’s provision of individual support and needs assessment, including risk assessment, advice, emotional support, and practical assistance
” Share responsibility for the use of information systems regarding records E.g Staff communications

Experience and Knowledge
” Experience in dealing with Young people and Families – Or support work in a similar setting
” ICT/ Admins- Understanding use of Word, PowerPoint and Excel and report writing.
” 6 months experience dealing with homeless or those at risk of homelessness- or support work in a similar setting
” Qualifications in health and social care- or equivalent to
