Rough Sleeper Navigator – Bexleyheath
Are you a passionate, dedicated Rough Sleeper Navigator looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting a Rough Sleeper Navigator to join a team based in Bexleyheath. Due to the recent commitment towards ending rough sleeping, you will be required to ensure that correct support and housing pathways are developed.
Pay Rates: £20 – £25 per hour
Duration: 06/02/2023 – 2 months
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36 hrs/week – Hybrid
Rough Sleeper Navigator role: Full JD Available
Take responsibility for the development of procedures to ensure consistency across the team responsible for delivery the outreach service.
Provide high quality customer focused service, ensuring telephone calls, emails, letters and complaints are fully responded to promptly.
Provide outreach services to rough sleepers.
Act as first point of contact.
Set up one-to-one or support groups to help people to address their problematic alcohol/drug use.
Provide support in the community for individuals and families to promote healthy lifestyles.
Inform individuals and families to engage with other supportive services.
Assess and review the needs of people who access the service.
Provide assistance with housing, benefits, accessing community services employment and training options as well as budgeting skills.
Produce relevant documents and reports in support of the role.
Create Pathway plans, support plans and risk assessments.
Work with the Rough Sleeper Coordinator to ensure that staff are recruited, managed, appraised and developed.
Liase with the Support Workers to ensure that workloads are prioritised correctly.
Essential Requirements:
Educated to GCSE level as a minimum
Recent experience of working in a local authority or social/private housing sector environment
Recent experience with homeless clients and rough sleepers
Demonstrable ability to case work complex clients
Proven experience of collaborative working and how to build effective partnerships
Excellent communicator
Work well as part of a team
Ability to travel throughout the Borough
You Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UK
