Role: Senior Early Years Practitioner

Salary: £21,672 per annum

Contract/Hours: Permanent, full-time (working 40 hours a week)

Location: Waddington, Lincolnshire

A bit about the role

Spring RAF Waddington is a unique 100 place nursery situated on the military base at RAF Waddington. We have a highly qualified and dedicated team who are passionate about nurturing children and promoting well-being. At Spring RAF Waddington we provide high-quality care and education for children from 3 months to 12 years. Our nursery is open Monday to Friday from 7.30am to 5.30pm and we operate a shift rota basis to cover these hours.

As our Senior Early Years Practitioner you’ll be:

  • Leading the team within the room when providing learning programmes for individual or groups of children.
  • Preparing and supervising dedicated areas/rooms for specific working patterns.
  • Contributing to, and participating in, the wider nursery management by leading on specific areas of development at the location.
  • Ensuring we provide a stimulating and appropriate range of activities whilst ensuring health and care needs are met.

About you

You will have an enthusiastic, proactive mindset, a positive attitude and a passion for childcare. Our Job Description outlines the requirements of the role, but please apply if these ‘must haves’ describe you:

  • Level 3 early years and childcare qualification e.g. NNEB, CACHE, NVQ Level 3 in Childcare and Education.
  • A thorough knowledge of children’s developmental needs from 0 to 5 years.
  • Experience working and leading in an early year setting.
  • Strong planning, observation and reflection of children and their learning.
  • Effective communication skills across multiple age groups.
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification.
