We have a great opportunity based at our Shuttleworth campus for a flexible hourly-paid Equine Centre Groom to become part of our Animal Sciences department.

As a Equine Groom, you will play a role in the success of our students through:

  • Contributing to the day to day running of the Equine Unit including weekend cover
  • Participating in the care of horses to include all routine husbandry duties
  • Exercising horses as directed by the Centre Manager

    • Our ideal candidates will have experience of caring for a number of horses in a range of different settings and relevant current vocational experience in the equine sector, alongside the following qualifications:

  • British Horse Society Stage 2 or equivalent
  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent

    What is an Associate?

    Associates work on a short term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you. Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.
