The successful Housing Legal Officer or Paralegal specialising in Housing will be required to:

  • Provide dedicated legal support across the homelessness, allocations and temporary accommodation functions. Legal officer will be part of the new expanded operational duty team to support managers and caseworkers in dealing with any increase in legal challenges that may arise out of a more robust approach to casework and decision making.
  • To support and train review officers tasked with carrying out Part 6 and Part 7 statutory reviews.
  • All candidates must have a law degree and significant experience of working in a statutory homelessness service or legal service which deals with Statutory Homeless and Housing Allocations Judicial Reviews.
