An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurse to join our ophthalmic ward 54 and 55 nursing team based at the Royal Eye hospitals central site. You are required to have a flexible approach to working, be self-motivated and a great team player.
Ward 54 and 55 is a surgical inpatient and day case unit offering patient care 24/7there will be a requirement for you to work a flexible shift pattern.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will assess, plan, evaluate and deliver all relevant aspects of patient care in a caring, compassionate and sensitive manner. Work closely with the multi-disciplinary team and contribute to the clinical governance process. Act as a mentor/preceptor to junior staff, with specific responsibility for pre-registration students. The post holder will take delegated responsibility for the management of the clinical team and the maintenance of high standards of quality patient care on a shift basis.
