Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a band 6 mental health worker to work across East Lindsey and Boston Borough with those who either homeless or at risk of being homeless.

Main duties of the job

On a day to day basis tasks may be related to supporting the homeless with mental health and physical health, liaising with GP and other agencies relating to the homeless partnership board. The successful candidate would be required to have good IT skills and able to carry a small caseload.

A number of existing, time-limited projects are currently underway to support rough sleepers within Lincolnshire that incorporate mental health resource and aim to support rough sleepers within the city.

The scope and remit of the service is to supplement the existing services for those people rough sleeping in Lincoln, who have mental health and/or substance misuse issues and/or physical health concerns which add to the complexity of their needs and prevent them seeking an appropriate source of support

To demonstrate self-direction and originality in solving problems and act autonomously in planning and implementing treatment and care

To function effectively and safely in circumstances requiring sound judgment, personal responsibility and initiative in complex and unpredictable clinical environments
