Your new company
You will be working with a charity that provides accommodation in the Birmingham area for the homeless or people at risk of homelessness that also suffer from mental health problems. They aim to improve the lives of their customers providing them with the skills and knowledge to broaden their horizons.

Your new role
You will be responsible for working with the customers providing person centred support and information. you will build rapport with these customers in order to help them accomplish their goals and aid them in making better informed decisions, sign posting them to additional services where required. You will be determined to tackle their problems so that the customers feel like they are valued members of society and have the skills and stability to go forward and live independently.

What you’ll need to succeed
You will need to be an organised, confident and an approachable individual, with the resilience and determination to succeed. Ideally you will have a compassionate and empathetic personality to be able to sympathise with your customers in order to build a trusting and lasting relationship. As well as this Communication is key in this role especially when talking to your customers in order to understand their problems and the help they require going forward with good communication you will also need to demonstrate good team work as you work with other external agencies in order to help your customers achieve their goals.

What you’ll get in return
You will be offered ADHOC shifts including short, long and night shifts. With a minimum rate of £10.65 per hour. This opportunity provides access to an amazing charity with exposure to other external industries within the business. A DBS will also be provided free of charge if you do not already hold one on the update service.
