HOURS: (37.5 per week) Shifts
SALARY: £12.38 PAYE or £13.55 UMBRELLA

If you would like to work for a leading charity in a rewarding role where you will really make a difference, BRC has an exciting opportunity for you! This service provides accommodation for up to 41 homeless people from 16 years and older with complex needs.

Main Activities and responsibilities for the Role:
- To enable and empower clients in a supportive environment within the support team. To promote their personal, social, and everyday skills with the aim for them to strive towards independence and eventually into their own independent accommodation.
- To encourage clients to increase their involvement in the day-to-day running of their accommodation and undertake tasks as an identified keyworker as directed by the management such as joining community life by using local facilities and services in the area.
- To encourage clients to be as independent as possible and support them to achieve their goals and take responsibility of day-to-day tasks (e.g. making appointments, budgeting, paying bills, planning meals).
- To empower clients in finding appropriate employment and settled accommodation opportunities through guidance and support and liaise and work with colleagues in other agencies including Mental Health services and Housing Associations etc., to ensure the smooth running of the project.
- Complete needs assessment/risk assessment for clients leading to the delivery of key elements of support plans which meet individual clients’ needs and self-selected aspirations.
