We are currently recruiting for a number of teaching assistant positions across the Fylde Coast areas to come and help with an ever growing demand within our extensive list of clients in Primary Schools. If working with children is something you are striving to either get into or continue and progress within, we have roles available to suit all needs. These positions are varied from Long Term, Short Term and Day to Day support to start immediately.

Roles would usually see you provide support between Monday – Friday full time hours between 8:30 – 3:30pm but this is all down to your availability and preferences of work, and also down to the clients expectations and requirements.

We work with a collection of FCAT schools, from mainstream Primary schools and academies and we have roles that are in need of Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants in relation to your experience.

We hire graduates who are looking to kick start their journeys and careers in the educational setting, and also are looking for those with prior experience seeking a new challenge or those who are wanting a career change into something they are passionate about.

The general tasks and duties will include :

  • Reading, writing and SPAG support.
  • Adjusting or breaking down activities to support participation and understanding.
  • Develop a supportive relationship with the children that promotes self esteem and confidence.
  • To develop knowledge and understanding of the specific academic, physical, emotional and behavioural needs of the child and respond to them effectively.
  • To liaise with the Teachers and SENCO about the development and support needed at home and in school for the children.
  • To assist with general school duties which may include setting up classrooms, preparing resources and displays and tidying and clearing away
  • Supervision of children during lunch times and Supervision of children entering and leaving school

  • Knowledge of development matters

  • Must have childcare Level 2 or above.
  • Must be engaging and able to teach through play
  • Desirable Requirements:

  • Paediatric First Aid Certificate.
  • An understanding of SEN or learning needs.
