Job description
We are looking to recruit a rent recovery officer to join our busy team. Managing a specific geographical area and providing comprehensive services to tenants in respect of action taken to reduce rent arrears including taking recovery action, negotiating repayments and offering advice and support. Working to enable tenancies to be sustainable and support homeless prevention legislation
The post holder will identify and participate in the development and implementation of strategies for tackling and preventing rent arrears ensuring maximisation of rent collection income.
The post holder must have experience of delivering front line public services including front line housing. They will have strong customer service skills and be able to negotiate effectively with good verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
The role will involve an element of home working and also require the employee to travel throughout the borough to visit clients at their home.
