Location – Dudley. Based in Dudley Council plus with some home working also

Salary – Hourly rate of pay: £9.90 per hour, but with pay review pending, effective from April 2023.

Contract type – Permanent

Working hours – 35hrs Full Time Mon – Fri 9am – 5pm.

About the role

Working as part of the Youth Hub at Dudley Council Plus you will deliver a critical front facing service that supports the effective delivery of the homeless service for young people. We provide support to young people aged 16 to 25 which includes youth offenders, and care leavers as well as ex-offenders.

You will be co-located within the homelessness team at Dudley Council Plus based in Dudley town centre. You will manage a caseload of referred clients as well being on `duty` as part of a rota with your Council colleagues as part of the HPRT (Homeless Prevention and Response Team). This role will see you providing advice to young people who are either homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. You will work to connect your caseload of young people to the right services to achieve positive outcomes. We can provide direct support for up to 4 weeks, then refer on to other specialist agencies if appropriate

About you

You will be operating in sometimes challenging and emotionally charged situations therefore you must have the ability to listen, understand each case, communicate clearly, remain calm under pressure and deal with each request for services confidentially.

We want someone who has the knowledge, insight and experience of working with people with a variety of needs, but with a flexible working approach to be involved in all of the services currently being delivered under the GreenSquareAccord support services projects.
