An insolvency business is looking for a Trainee Insolvency Administrator to join their team based in York. Alongside a salary of up to £25,000 (depending on experience), this role offers attractive working hours, excellent training and progression opportunities, as well as a benefits package.

This role will work within our Clients personal and corporate restructuring and recovery team, providing general support to meet client needs. This position would be well suited to a junior/trainee who is seeking an opportunity where they can join an established and experienced professional team, where their career can grow. This would also suit an individual with some office, admin or finance experience looking for a role in the financial services sector. With training and development, offered with this role, the successful individual will ideally progress on to become an Insolvency Administrator.

Working with the wider business, key responsibilities for the Trainee Insolvency Administrator will include: 

  • Liaising with agents, solicitors and accountants associated with the cases.
  • Preparation of statutory paperwork.
  • Assisting with the disposal of assets, collection of debts and the distribution of funds to creditors.
  • Corresponding with creditors and other interested parties. 
  • Ad-hoc administrative support to the team, as required.
  • To be successful in this Trainee Insolvency Administrator role, you will ideally have:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work autonomously, to own initiative, as well as within a team
  • Good technical skills and computer applications, as well as working knowledge of MS packages including Word and Excel
  • Ability to build strong and effective working relationships at all levels, and able to build rapport with Clients
  • Due to the nature of the role, previous admin or finance experience would be advantageous, but is not essential
  • This role would be an excellent position for an Accounts Administrator, Finance Admin, Accounts Assistant, Finance Officer, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger or Bookkeeper looking for a new opportunity. This opportunity would also suit an individual currently looking to start their finance career.
