Electro Optical Analyst Job Vacancy in Southampton, England, UK

crooton are working with a dynamic technology company who have a strong background in defense and they are looking to recruit a Electro Optical Analyst to join the team in Porton Down, Salisbury.

Working primarily on-site with the wider project team, you will be focussing and offering your expertise on the subject of Electro Optical Analyst RF) and their effect on the modelling of weapons systems

Location: Porton Down, Salisbury

Hours: Full Time

Salary: Between £30,000-£60,000 depending on experience

Our clients Electronic Warfare Operations Support (EWOS) Group is made up of 40+ electronic warfare specialists. From all manner of backgrounds, engineers, scientists and ex-military personnel combine their experience to help customers achieve their true operational potential, and ultimately help keep their people and platforms safe.

Essential Knowledge:

• Degree level or equivalent in a Science or Engineering discipline (e.g. Mathematics, Physics or Software Engineering)
• Knowledge of model and simulations techniques to real-world scenarios
• Experience in the use of models and tools in order to provide evidence data (Matlab)
• Experience in analysis of complex and large datasets
• Experience in the analysis and interpretation of outputs in support of advice

Ideally:

• Good understanding of the physics behind sensors, dynamics, optics and lasers
• EO domain knowledge and/or EO modelling experience (e.g. EO environments, EO Threat system understanding, EO countermeasure development)
• Experience in simulation and the development of models (Simulink, C++)
• Experience in real time, and faster than real time, software environments
• Experience of system verification, validation and test

• Due to the highly secure environment that our clients work is conducted in, you must be a UK National, eligible to work and live in the UK and be eligible to undergo and maintain appropriate UK government DV Security Clearance
