Tenancy Support Worker
Location: Sandwell & Dudley – West Bromwich – out in the community
Hours: 37.5 Hours – Monday to Friday & Occasional Weekend

Salary and Benefits

Overview of the role
The client is looking for a full-time Tenancy Support Worker, based in Sandwell to work with their service users who are at risk of homelessness. You will provide support to those who are in need, to try and access the appropriate benefits and help with their tenancy.

Requirements
To be considered for this position, you must:

  • Be a driver with access to your own vehicle
  • Have experience in community liaison
  • Have experience in resident/service users engagement
  • Computer literate, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • At least 6 months’ experience supporting youths or young adults who are homeless or who are at risk of becoming homeless
  • You need to be resilient, as some service users will be vulnerable and will have challenging behaviour, and other complex needs

Interview Process
These stages have been put in place to help benefit and streamline the process of recruitment.

1st Stage – Shortlisting & Pre-Screening
In the first stage I personally will review your CV. Should you be successful, I will invite you for a telephone call. We will then have a telephone conversation to discuss your right to work, work history, and suitability for the role.

2nd Stage – Informal Conversation
In this stage, to support with the smooth running of the application process, you will have a telephone call with the hiring manager to assess suitability – they will talk to you about the position and if there are any questions, they can be answered. Should this stage be successful, you should have an interview arranged over the phone.

3rd Stage – Formal Interview
In this stage, you will have a formal interview with the hiring manager.
