Prospectus is pleased to be partnering with an inspiring organisation, aiming to tackle homelessness through training, housing and onwards opportunities! Their unique model focusses on every aspect of coffee making; from green beans and roasting through to latte art and customer service. They aim to equip their trainees with the skills knowledge and experience they need to start a new career, and through this secure a place to live. They are now recruiting for a Support Officer to join their team, initially on a temporary basis for 3 months.
As a Support Officer you will be managed by the Head of Support and work closely alongside the Recruitment, Employment and Retail teams. You will be responsible for assisting with implementing the support program and support with the onboarding of new homeless baristas, meeting and supporting them in the workplace and assisting with their onwards journey towards employability and becoming ‘ready-to-work.’ This will include Mental wellbeing sessions, teaching Life-skills, liaising and advocating with external services, and supporting trainees to access appropriate external support services.
To apply for this role, you will have demonstrable experience of working with vulnerable people, preferably within the homelessness sector and mental health as well as understanding the issues affecting those with complex needs, especially those experiencing homelessness. Preferable you will have some experience of supporting with employability, with outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to inspire confidence in a wide range of people including Trainees. Overall, you will be kind, creative and deeply passionate about ensuring vulnerable people have the relevant, initial support they need in order to change their lives.

Please note this is a full-time role (however part time will be considered, minimum 3 days). Working 40 hours per week, Monday- Friday. An Enhanced DBS for Adults is essential and please only apply if you are available asap or no more than a 1/2 week notice period.
Please also note, travel is expected across the services (not expensed). However, a main location will be assigned either in Peckham, Stratford or Euston to reduce travel costs.
