The Community support team provides short term support to tenants to sustain their tenancies and assist them to manage the practical aspects of coping with the management of a home. Housing Matters is a tenancy support service that supports people who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Positive Steps is a floating support service is for people with mental health and drug and alcohol related issues in Leicestershire.

Your new role
24 hours per week (part time role)
9am – 5pm
Support service users/tenants to express themselves and make informed choices and decisions about their lives in a way that respects their dignity and rights.
Devise and implement individual care and/or support plans with risk assessments that are not risk averse.

What you’ll need to succeed
Enhanced DBS on update service required
UK driving license and access to a vehicle required.

  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of complex needs such as mental health, housing and benefit related issues
  • An awareness of drug and alcohol related needs, supporting agencies and evidence based reduction/recovery interventions.
  • Flexible and forward thinking
  • Be able to work effectively on your own
