Job description:

Job Title- Housing Support Worker

Location – Chapter House – West Bromwich (Sandwell)

Hourly Pay – £10.77 per hour

Contract type – permanent

Working hours – 35 per week

About the role:

  • To minimise rent loss through proactive engagement with clients and Housing Benefit Teams
  • A good knowledge and understanding of Housing Benefits and Universal credit systems
  • To manage and monitor rent accounts in accordance with clients licence agreements ensuring clients pay rent on time and occupy their accommodation.
  • To deliver a great service to our clients that promotes and motivates individuals to work towards long term positive planned Move On`s into the community.
  • Please note that if you are successful in this role, we will require a DBS check to be completed. Further details will be sent following offer.

    About you

  • Enhanced DBS disclosure is required
  • Working knowledge of the Criminal Justice System as well as services for offenders, clients with addictions, The homeless, and clients with Mental ill Health.
  • Requirement to work and support a 24hr Supported Housing Scheme, which includes working unsociable hours, evening and weekends
