Building Surveyor

3 – 6 month contract

£300/day umbrella rate

South London

Summary

Morgan Hunt are working with a small housing organisation based in South London who are looking for a Building Surveyor on a 3 – 6 month contract.

You will be responsible for managing a property portfolio of around 400 properties, which are a mixture of residential dwellings and also some redundant churches (churches currently handled by another department).

Responsibilities

  • Working on a variety of different planned maintenance projects, varying from cyclical works, kitchens and bathrooms, roofs and windows, heating etc.
  • As a Building Surveyor, you will be required to write detailed specifications.
  • Carry out site and structural inspections; analysing building defects; determining causes; reporting; and specifying and supervising appropriate action.
  • Deal with party wall matters.
  • Manage contractors effectively.

    • About you

  • MRICS is highly desirable.
  • Experience surveying residential properties.
  • Strong contract management skills.
  • Ability to write detailed reports and specify works.
  • Building related qualification/degree or similar.
