  • £16.35 per hour PAYE / £21.88 per hour Umbrella
  • Hybrid working – 2 days in office, 3 from home. More days can be done in office if preferred
  • This is an opportunity for enthusiastic individuals who share a commitment to join and make a tangible difference to the lives of homeless people whilst ensuring council resources are used fairly and appropriately.

    As a vital part of the Councils Homelessness Service, you will carry out thorough, sensitive information gathering and carry out initial enquiries into homeless applications.

    You will offer comprehensive advice and relevant signposting to households who are either homeless or threatened with becoming homeless in the near future.

    You will be responsible for dealing with all incoming referrals from both internal and external agencies.

    The role is demanding and fast paced, and you should be able to provide a professional service under pressure to households approaching the service for assistance with their housing.

    The role plays a pivotal part in the smooth running of the wider Homeless and Housing Need Service, accurately triaging homeless applications and enquiries, ensuring customers are seen in a timely fashion by the relevant team.
