We have a great opportunity based at our Shuttleworth campus for a flexible hourly-paid Associate – Equine Groom to become part of our Land & Environment department.

As an Associate – Equine Groom, you will play a role in the success of our students through:

  • To contribute to the day to day running of the Equine Unit including weekend cover
  • To participate in the care of horses to include all routine husbandry duties
  • To exercise horses as directed by the Centre Manager

    • Our ideal candidates will have relevant current vocational experience in the equine sector and experience of caring for a number of horses in a range of different settings, alongside the following qualifications:

  • British Horse Society Stage 2 or equivalent
  • English and Maths or similar at GCSE grade A-C or equivalent

    What is an Associate?

    Associates work on a short term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you. Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.
