Role – Care Assistant

Pay -Mon- Sun £11ph & Bank holidays – £22 ph 

Location-  Newton Regis 

Hours – Part time contract available  28 hours per week 

Shifts -Various shifts available can be flexible 

Working hours are on a shift pattern rota basis including some weekend working

Total community care are part of the City and County Healthcare Group in are currently looking to expand their fantastic team of Support Workers/ Care Assistants in your area.

You’ll either be an enthusiastic person with plenty of patience looking for a career change to bring new life and experiences into our service or you’ll be an experienced Support Worker/ Care Assistant with a background in complex, emotional or behavioural settings looking for a change and wanting to be part of a team that will make a difference to young people or Adults with complex needs to give them new opportunities in their life both at home and in the community.

We support all difference types of people with Motor Neurone Disease, Muscular dystrophy, Spinal Cord, acquired brain injuries and other complex needs that may include a physical disability, who would like support either on a 24-hour basis within their own homes or to access the community on daily basis dependent on their needs and wishes.

You’ll receive ongoing Nurse led training and support from a dedicated Manager plus the opportunity to undertake a qualification in health and social care funded by City and County plus so much more when you join.

Role 

As a Support Worker with City & County Healthcare you will work within the principles of person-centred support, enabling development and inclusion in their everyday lives within their home and wider community. You will be supporting our client who lives within their own home and taking out for social outings . Your work will be varied as you’ll be supporting our client with all sorts of social activities & taking out into the community, helping with general household duties, meal preparation, moving & handling, assisting with passive exercises.
