Product Owner

Salary – £46,400 – 58,000 per annum depending on experience
Contract type – Fixed Term – 2 years

About the role
You will be accountable for overseeing the development of products from start to finish to ensure they meet the clients` needs and preferences.
You will be a part to help us to become a brilliant landlord and our enhanced strategy 2023 Simpler, Stronger, Better sets out how we will move from our current position towards making significant improvement across all aspects of our services to raise our performance with a dedicated focus on back to basics and automation improvements. One of the critical enablers is our new dedicated digital delivery team which fully manages the delivery of Digital / Technology that delivers Digital Transformation.
You will be pivotal to Digital Delivery is the Product Owner whose duties include determining the overall vision of products, managing various backlog items, and deciding which features each product will have according to clients` preferences.
About you
You will need a degree in Computer Science, Business, or similar field, or Equivalent work place experience.
You must have an awareness of governance, process structures and methodologies used in the successful delivery of projects.
You will need to be familiar with both waterfall and agile techniques (Scrum) and ability to scale methodologies to the requirements and nature of the project.
You must be able to work to defined time constraints and able to flex to accommodate additional work demands as required using Scrum. You need to be able to ensure that digital delivery teams flex to cope with additional work demands as required while maintaining high levels of quality using Scrum.
You must be able to take forward initiatives with limited or no supervision. Always willing to suggest new ideas and challenge respectfully. Able to embed and champion the Agile Scrum methodology overcoming cultural and operational barriers.
You will need to have demonstrable experience of involvement with project management especially those that involve a significant amount of ICT or digital change.
You will need experience to support the Scrum Master and deputise as required.
