Job Title: Vertical Sales Manager – Smart Infrastructure, Electrification, and Automation Transmission Sale

Salary: GBP 50,000 – GBP 55,000 per year

The Recruitment Co. is seeking a talented and driven Vertical Sales Manager to join a leading company in the Smart Infrastructure Division. As a Vertical Sales Manager, you will have the opportunity to contribute to building a better tomorrow by finding innovative solutions and making the world a smarter place. This role focuses on Smart Infrastructure, Electrification, and Automation Transmission Sales, specifically targeting UK&I Transmission EPCs (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) and End Users.
Responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with UK&I EPC Electrical contractors, managing the opportunity pipeline and tracking enquiries and purchase orders to meet annual targets.
  • Conduct pre-qualification activities to assess potential opportunities.
  • Collaborate with bid teams to address ongoing customer requirements and ensure effective communication. Provide support to the bid team, such as reviewing submission documentation, as needed.
  • Provide input on pricing levels based on historical data and market intelligence.
  • Identify key prospects and develop strategies for must-win opportunities. Present risks and opportunities to senior management to gain business support.
  • Utilize Salesforce-based CRM to manage contacts, prospects, forecasts, and targets effectively.

  • A natural leader who takes ownership of customer relationships and demonstrates care for people, the environment, and outcomes.
  • A growth mindset, eager to learn and adapt to meet the challenges of customers.
  • At least one of the following:
    • Sales experience in a professional environment.
    • Understanding of Secondary Protection & Control Project Delivery.
    • Secondary Design engineer seeking a career change.
    • Experience working in a Substation or Energy site environment.
  • No specific qualifications are essential for this role, although a Degree/HND in Electrical Engineering would be preferable.
