Senior Residential Support Worker (Children)

  • Location: Stoke on Trent
  • A salary of £29,322 to £31,398 per year, depending on qualifications (based on a pay rate of £11.35 to £12.35 per hour and undertaking 8 sleeps per month)
  • Hours: 2 on 4 off

What are the requirements?

  • Drivers license essential
  • Aged 21+
  • Experience working with Children in a residential setting (2+ years for senior)
  • Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People/Residential Childcare (desirable not essential)

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Contributing to the young person’s care plans and risk assessments, their review and implementation
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of working with children
  • Able to overcome challenging behaviour whilst following strict guidelines
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Become a trustworthy figure and build relationships with service users
  • Show a clear understanding of safeguarding and strictly follow company procedures in the line with the safeguarding policy
  • Maintaining and promoting residential care work to high levels of professionalism expected by Ofsted
