Job Description
We now have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Administrator to join our sales team based in Hemel Hempstead with hybrid working. As a Sales Administrator at Smiths Detection, you will play a crucial role in supporting our sales team and helping to ensure customer satisfaction, satisfying customer requirements and establishing rapport with professional business practice that builds ongoing customer lifetime value.

You will be responsible for managing and processing sales orders and be the key point of contact for customers supporting with queries about products, orders and deliveries, as well as providing support for sales representatives and account managers. You must be a Goal-oriented individual who has a deep knowledge of customer service best practices.

Standard security clearance will be required including 3 years UK residency

Duties and Responsibilities
Process orders via email or phone
Check data accuracy in orders
Contact clients to obtain missing information or answer queries
Maintain and update sales and customer records
Develop monthly sales reports
Communicate important feedback from customers internally.
Ensure sales targets are met and report any deviations.
Stay up-to-date with new products and features

The Individual
Technical Knowledge and Skills:

Prior experience within sales & order administration, logistics and customer service.
Strong hands-on working experience of SAP.
A high level of attention to detail.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to build effective relationships both internal and externally.
Customer focused.
Self-motivated and pro-active and able to work on your own initiative without close supervision.
Work environment during normal or extended business hours includes employee’s residence, Smiths Detection location or other location as required.

The ability and motivation to persistently pursue and achieve effective results which drive the business forward.
The ability to make good judgements using the information available and making effective timely decisions.
Willing and able to identify and support change and continuous improvement.
