Housing Support Worker
Location: Swadlincote
Hours: 33 hours / 2 sleeps
Shift Breakdown: 9:45am-12am – sleep-in – 7:30am-10:45am – finish shift
Shift Pattern: 3-week rolling rota
Salary: £25,154

Salary and Benefits

Overview of the Role
The client is looking for a full-time Housing Support Worker to provide person centred support to customers, reporting any safeguarding concerns in line with policy and procedure. To support customers with life skills and empower them to make a positive contribution to society and become self-sufficient; this includes recording case studies that reflect achievements of outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a flexible, responsive service which operates in a timely and person-centred manner
  • Signposting customers to relevant sources of information, support, guidance, and advice
  • Effectively working in partnership with external agencies for the benefit of customers
  • Completing and following clear risk assessments, and adhering to the organisations Health and Safety Policy
  • Completing and maintaining accurate records in line with the requirements (including detailed support plans, risk assessments and regular checks).
  • Required Skills, Experience, & Knowledge

  • Passion and desire to help people who are struggling with their tenancy and are at risk of homelessness
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle – ESSENTIAL
  • A DBS on the update service
  • Professional or personal experience working with young people or adults with learning disabilities or mental health
  • Transferable skills which could enable you to support vulnerable adults who are at risk of homelessness

    2nd Stage – Formal Interview
    In this stage, you will go have a formal interview with the hiring manager.
