Job Title: Data Centre Shift Engineer – Facilities (Electrical Qualified)

Location: Farnborough

Salary: £47,500 per annum

Working Hours: 7am – 7pm / 7pm – 7am (Continental Shifts)

Company Overview: My client are a leading provider of critical infrastructure solutions, specialising in data centre facilities management. They are seeking a number of a highly skilled and electrically qualified Shift Engineers to join their dynamic team. If you have experience in critical environments such as data centres or hospitals, and a strong background in electrical maintenance, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform all maintenance tasks, including Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPMs), breakdowns, and reactive tasks.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot Building Management Systems (BMS).
  • Conduct maintenance and inspections on generators, HVAC systems, and electrical infrastructure.
  • Ensure proper functioning of lighting and power systems.
  • Collaborate with the team to ensure the uninterrupted operation of critical facilities.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Qualifications and Experience:

  • Electrical qualification (NVQ or City and Guilds).
  • Ideally, experience working in critical environments, such as data centres or hospitals.
  • Ex-military personnel, including Navy, with relevant qualifications and experience, are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong electrical maintenance background.
