Director of Digital Services

Flexible – Chippenham/West Bromwich

Salary – £110,000 – £115,000 (+ £5,000 Car Allowance) per annum – depending on skills and experience.

Contract type – Permanent

Working hours – Full Time

About the role

In this senior, wide scoping and varied role, our Director of Digital Services will be responsible for the technology infrastructure within our organisation, in addition to leading on GSA`s approach to translating organisation strategy into measurable plans and programmes of activity including digital transformation and ICT operations.

You will oversee the company`s information technology and computer systems by overseeing, developing and implementing technology to support our business operations, customers and key stakeholders.

You will oversee a team of specialist experts to deliver oversight of the corporate plan programme of activity, including standardising systems of project and programme management across the business.

You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of business architecture for the organisation, including target operating models, business models, organisational design, and associated roadmaps.

You will champion digital engagement, and use of modern and fit for purpose cost effective technologies.

You will lead on the development of modern and resilient approaches and governance to data, information, and cyber strategies, bringing the organisation on their transformation journey.

About you

It is essential that you are qualified to a Post Graduate level in Change, P3M or Technology delivery and hold a Masters Degree or PHD in Technology, engineering computer science or similar.

You will be required to have substantial experience of working in change management, leading continuous improvement programmes, delivering strategic projects, and leading customer experience improvement.

You must have exceptional stakeholder management skills, able to achieve credibility, confidence and buy-in quickly, at all levels from frontline to Executive/Board.

You will have enterprise level experience of leading, managing and concluding complex deliver across multiple portfolios including the management of risk curves, financial modelling and release management while also having experience in leading IT transformation projects on time and on budget; including but not limited to infrastructure, environment, data, application, operating systems, cyber.

It is essential for this role that you are a self-confident, self-aware and aspiring leader, who has provided significant input to a progressive and aspirational digital function; delivered results; and built organisational capability for the future.
