Job summary

The Drug and Alcohol Outreach Service works alongside the Adult Community Service and the Young People’s Service to ensure that an accessible treatment offer is available to those who find themselves rough sleeping or in insecure accommodation. The Drug and Alcohol Outreach Service is countywide and promotes an holistic multi-agency response to the needs of the individual. Main duties of the job

We have secured new funding to expand our experienced outreach service, providing support to people who are living in insecure housing and rough sleepers, and engaging and maintaining them in treatment services. If you are enthusiastic and passionate about changing people’s lives for the better, we would love to hear from you. You will be an empathic individual who possesses excellent communication skills alongside the knowledge and understanding of issues that may lead to homelessness and substance misuse. We are looking for someone who can build effective relationships with our clients and other external stakeholders and be able to manage their time effectively. You will have demonstrable experience working in fields of outreach, housing/homelessness, criminal justice, or other specialist settings and a successful track record of working with substance misuse clients. Above all, we are looking for someone who is passionate about what we do, and with a positive and engaging approach to our service users and staff.
