Job summary
As a Podiatrist with St John Ambulance Homeless Service Manager, you will deliver foot care and general support to homeless and vulnerably housed people. We are looking for a Podiatrist to join our CQC registered Homeless Healthcare Service in Brighton treating homeless and vulnerably housed clients. Working alongside other Healthcare Professionals you will provide quality podiatry care, advice, treatment and promotion of health in a range of settings including outreach, day services and nurse led clinics. Where appropriate you will also support with wound and clinical care.

Be a qualified Podiatrist registered with HCPC
Have experience and understanding of working within a client centred approach
Ideally, wed like you to have experience of working in a varied podiatric environment including supporting disadvantaged or vulnerable clients

To supportthe holistic clinical needs of homeless people within a CQC registered service.
To workcollaboratively with other organisations as well as working in a multi agencysetting and with other healthcare professionals within the Sussex Homeless HealthcareService.
To givepodiatry care and treatment to the homeless community. Undertaking shiftbriefings/debriefings, ensuring all documentation and monitoring is completedand giving guidance and advice to other team members.
Podiatriccare, advice, treatment and health promotion for homeless people in differentenvironments including outreach, day services and supporting nurse led clinics.
Being theresponsible individual of podiatry clinics, ensuring the safe and efficientrunning of podiatry clinics.
Supportingwith wound care and clinical care where applicable and appropriate.
Work in line with theCQC KLOE and maintain high CQC standards and engage in CQC inspections.
Recording all client contact, providing informationfor monitoring purposes and handling these records in accordance with patientconfidentiality and St John Ambulance Data Protection Policy.
Guiding, advising and influencing other teammembers, including other Health Care Professionals.
Being responsible for medicines management withinthe podiatry clinic.
Being responsible for documentation and equipment.
Being responsible for safeguarding and referrals
Attending training sessions, maintaining competenceand role revalidiations.
Attending meetings as required by the service,including team meetings and multi-agency meetings.
Activelyengaging in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders.
Leading andchampioning innovation and new ideas of future podiatry clinics.
Supporting the administrators with arrangingbookings and managing diary to support service demand.
Liaising with other agencies, including signposting,referrals and safeguarding.
Champion and exemplify compassionate leadershipand St John values.
