Are you people-minded, brilliantly organised, and ready to lead with heart and purpose?

Matthew’s House is excited to announce an important opportunity for someone to join their core team in the heart of Swansea. They are looking for a Volunteer & Project Co-ordinator, a key role that helps carry forward their mission of offering Hospitality & Hope to those who need it most.

This post is about people, purpose and presence – building relationships, supporting volunteers and helping run the day-to-day operations that keep Matthew’s House thriving. It’s a role that requires confidence, care and great co-ordination skills – but it also offers the chance to be part of something deeply meaningful.

Over the last few years, Matthew’s House has grown into a home for hundreds of volunteers and thousands of guests. They serve meals, offer dignity, build friendships, and walk alongside those facing poverty, homelessness, and hardship. The heartbeat of it all is their volunteer team – and this role is fundamental in helping to support, train, and care for their volunteers at every step.

This is a 2-day-a-week role, based in Swansea but with flexibility, and fixed for 24 months with the hope of permanency.

They’re looking for someone who:

Loves people and thrives on strong relationships

Is confident, organised and full of initiative

Has a heart for inclusion, compassion and community

Can recruit, support and encourage their amazing volunteers

Will help them hold onto the culture and values that make Matthew’s House feel like home
